SmartWithMyMoney.nd.gov
You may find this free resource, supported by the state of North Dakota, helpful to meet curriculum requirements on personal finance. Students also learn about how their unique money personality impacts the decisions they make about money. The resource provides 34 standard financial literacy courses, a library of over 120 financial topics, and more than 2,800 pieces of content including articles, videos, tools and courses.
Consider implementing Smart with My Money in your school’s curriculum. It is available on PowerSchool under the ND Education Portal. Families are also encouraged to visit SmartWithMyMoney.nd.gov from home to create their free account.
Dual Credit Assistance Program
BND accepts applications from eligible students for financial assistance to pay for dual credit courses. Funding may be limited.

North Dakota Dollars for Scholars
High school seniors and college students who are attending or have graduated from a North Dakota high school may apply for scholarships annually. Just one application connects them to a variety of scholarship opportunities.

FAFSA Resources
The FAFSA opens October 1. BND has resources to help your students and their families complete it. You can also request a virtual or in-person FAFSA presentation and an optional FSA ID workshop from BND.
College Application Month
College Application Month is part of a national initiative to increase the number of first-generation and low-income students pursuing a college degree or other higher education credential. North Dakota high schools can be a part of it by hosting an event in October. BND offers tips and resources to help with event planning and pays for one $35 application fee per senior when they apply to a North Dakota college during your school’s event.

College Fit Game
This activity helps students practice selecting “good fit” colleges based on a variety of academic, social, financial, and other needs.
Student Loans
BND wants students to Be Confident with their student loan decisions. They can research and learn facts about how career and student loan decisions may impact their future finances.
College SAVE 529 Plan
The state-sponsored 529 plan, administered by BND, helps families save for college tax-free and offers three match programs to help them save even more.
