BND Updates Out-of-State Student Loan Eligibility

As of April 1, 2024, Bank of North Dakota (BND) no longer accepts student loan applications from out-of-state residents attending out-of-state schools. BND discontinued the DEAL Consolidation option for out-of-state residents as well.

If you have secured loans from BND in the past, they will continue to be serviced by our BND Student Loans staff, and you will continue to receive notifications from our team.

Eligibility for these two groups has not changed.

• Out-of-state residents who attend an approved North Dakota school remain eligible to apply for BND’s student loan program.
• North Dakota residents attending an eligible in-state or out-of-state school are still eligible to apply, just as they do today. Click here for information on BND’s student loan and refinance programs.
