The BND Infrastructure Revolving Loan Fund provides loans to political subdivisions, the Garrison Diversion Conservancy District and the Lake Agassiz Water Authority for repair, replacement and new infrastructure projects. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Learn more

The Critical Financial Need Program provides loans to political subdivisions requiring immediate financing of public facilities due to a fast-growing population. Learn more

Legacy Infrastructure Loan Fund

The Legacy Infrastructure Loan Fund was established by the 67th Legislative Assembly enabling the use of the Legacy Fund principal to provide low interest loans to political subdivisions. BND will utilize the Legacy Infrastructure Loan Fund to provide liquidity for the BND Infrastructure Revolving Loan Fund or the Water Infrastructure Revolving Loan Fund.

Borrowers should apply through the BND Infrastructure Revolving Loan Fund or the Water Infrastructure Revolving Loan Fund utilizing the Funding for Infrastructure in ND (FIND) application. FIND application portal. Login using an existing North Dakota Login, or register for a new North Dakota Login. Once logged in, start a new application in the “Funding for Infrastructure in ND – FIND “ funding opportunity.”

The Legacy Investment for Technology Loan Fund supports technology advancement by providing financing for commercialization of intellectual property within the state of North Dakota. Learn more

Medical Infrastructure Loan Fund

The Medical Infrastructure Loan Fund provides loans to medical facilities to conduct construction that improves the health care infrastructure in the state or improves access to existing nonprofit health care providers in the state. Learn more

The School Construction Assistance Revolving Loan Fund provides loans to fund the construction and permanent financing to eligible North Dakota school districts. Project may include new school construction or remodeling project approved by the superintendent of public instruction. Learn more

To apply for funding under this program, the school district shall:

  • Submit a completed application to the Department of Public Instruction (Construction | North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (nd.gov)) and the Bank. The application shall include:
    • Estimated sources and uses for the project.
    • Financial statements for the school district as well as projections to support the repayment capacity for the project.

The Water Infrastructure Revolving Loan Fund provides loans for water supply, flood protection, or other water development and water management projects. Learn more

All applications for loans under this program must be made to the ND Department of Water Resources.
