Bank of North Dakota (BND) is seeking a Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations of our building, ensuring a safe, efficient and well-maintained environment for the staff and tenants.
Summary of Work
Facility Operations & Maintenance: Oversee building security, HVAC, custodial services, and groundskeeping. Coordinate maintenance projects, contractor services, and ensure compliance with policies.
Mail & Supply Services: Supervise mail center and supply room operations, ensuring efficient delivery and inventory management.
Customer & Vendor Relations: Act as the main liaison for staff, tenants, and vendors, handling service requests and ensuring timely resolution of facility-related issues. Customer service is a key part of this role, as you will be the primary point of contact for employees, tenants, and vendors regarding facility needs.
Security & Risk Management: Manage building security, alarm systems, and emergency preparedness, including fire and tornado drills.
Leadership & Budgeting: Supervise custodial and mailroom staff, manage facility budgets, approve invoices, and implement cost-effective building solutions.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure a well-functioning workplace for all Bank of North Dakota employees and tenants.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires four years of work experience in the operation and maintenance of a complex facility. The experience must have included substantial responsibilities for preventive and special maintenance of facilities, equipment and grounds, custodial services, on-site review and coordination of contractor projects, interpreting blueprints and building plans, and estimating costs. Requires familiarity with building codes, handling of infectious and hazardous materials, and related regulations or similar duties related to facility operations. One year of the work experience must have included responsibility for scheduling and lead work or supervision of other employees. Substitution of two years of college-level course work in a related field for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preference will be given to applicants with prior training in physical security for a financial institution and/or experience as a physical security officer in a financial institution.
