BND will hold investments pledged as security for the repayment of public deposits. As part of this service, BND will assist with the execution of the Pledge Agreement that is required for designated public deposits.

Securities eligible for pledging are specified in NDCC 21-04-09 (PDF). In addition to those listed in Century Code, the State Banking Board has approved these securities (PDF). 

North Dakota Century Code Section 21-04-09 directs BND to hold a pool of securities pledged to several pledges. Pledge Pool Agreements with proper signature pages are provided by BND.
