Please join us for the Back Office to Front Line Forum May 12, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. You’ll learn about fraud trends and check exceptions, hear updates on NACHA Rules, and have an opportunity to ask questions to Upper Midwest Automated Clearing House Association (UMACHA) staff.
Registration is free and open on a first-come, first-served basis for the limited spots available. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Attendees must cover mileage and hotel expenses. Feel free to forward this to other staff members.

- Despite downward trends in check processing volume, financial institutions continue to be challenged with the operational nuances involved in handling check returns, adjustments, and claims where one financial institution must deal directly with another financial institution for resolution. Join us as we discuss the differences between check returns and adjustments – including a review of scenarios when you can return and when you can adjust – as well as how certain fraud-related claims are handled.

- The NACHA Rules have been updated to include fraud monitoring responsibilities for all participants on the origination side as well as credit monitoring obligations for RDFIs. Let’s discuss the details of these Rule changes to ensure your bank is in compliance with these Rules. We’ll also discuss other recently implemented and upcoming Rule changes to keep your bank in the know.
