• When, where and how will you record it? Keep in mind that we want to see you and hear your story, so consider traffic passing by or other background noises. A cellphone works great and requires little setup.

Record your video.

• It must be 30 to 90 seconds in length and cannot have any registered or copyrighted music or material, watermarks or logos (for example, a TikTok logo appears on TikTok-created videos).
• You need to include both an introduction AND your confident statement, like the sample video on this page illustrates.
  • Introduction line: “Hi, I’m (First and Last Name) from (Name of City).
  • Confident statement – Answer one or more of the following questions about how confidence has played a role in your life:
    • “I’m confident because … ”
    • “I feel confident when … ”
    • “Confidence is important because …”
  • Here are a few examples:
    • “Hi, I’m (first and last name) from (city). When I was (in my school play, playing basketball, in the spelling bee) , … ”
    • “Hi, I’m (first and last name) from (city). Having confidence helped me to (step out on the stage, step up to the podium, join the match) and … ”
    • “Hi, I’m (first and last name) from (city). Without confidence, I wouldn’t have been able to … ”

Get permissions and submit.

• We’ll need your permission for the contest. If you’re under the age of 18, your parent or guardian will have to provide their consent and permission for you to enter the contest. If additional people are featured in your video, we’ll need their permission or their parents if under the age of 18.
